Today’s sowing marathon..

Cabbage – Greyhound

Cauliflower- all year round

Brussels - Clodius

Fennel – ?  name escapes me

Squash - Barbara

Squash - Avalon

Courgette – Verde di milano

Courgette  - Yellow something or other?

Pumpkin – Jack be little

Pumpkin – Hooligan

Pumpkin – blue hubbard

Beans – Asparagus

Asparagus beans didn’t do well sown direct last year, so this year I’m starting them off in root trainers..

    Did you sow these inside or outside?! what a great day-I’m heading to the allotment tommorrow to see whats going on-haven’t been up there for a while…sx

      All started off inside in root trainers and pots- some would say the squash and pumpkins are a little early but I like to get them to a decent size before planting out in May. In the past I planted out smaller seedlings and they got eaten, even though they were “protected” with milk cartons as cloches :(

    No sowing for us until the weather improves I’m afraid but there is plenty to do on the plot to keep us busy.
