“baktus” down hill from now on

The Baktus “Norwegian scarf” has been popping up on European knitting blogs for a few years now and as usual I’m always late to the party.. I started this one in January 2009, then had my head turned with other knitting projects ” Ravelry shame on you “!.

Earlier this year I took the bull by the horns and ripped back knitting that had been lurking with the promise of getting finished – this scarf survived the cull along with two cardigans and a promise to myself that I’ll not get lead astray with some other gorgeous yarn or pattern ! “ I will finish what I started”

The pattern is really a no brainier and I should of had it finished months ago -

Basically you need 100gm ball of  yarn wound into two 50gm “makes it easier when you start the decreases”

Cast ons 4 st’s then increase 1 st every forth row for the first 50gm then decrease 1 st every forth row. “piece of cake”!

I’m now on the down hill slope refusing to have my head turned until its finally off the needles..

I love this design. It’s so simple and mindless to knit and yet looks so effective when finished.
    Love the yarn you’re using!

I have a couple more in the pipeline- bought the yarn way back, just haven’t got round to them yet. Next one on my needles will be the lace version in a solid colour *smiles*
